In daylight we saw what a great spot we had, right at the beach. However staying was not an option. So after a walk on the beach we left.
Driving for hours and hours, miles and miles through huge banana plantations. We think all the bananas consumed in Colombia are grown here.
Later during the day the landscape changed into grassland with some big farms at the side of the road.
What not changed were the houses of the less fortunate ones.
In the afternoon the landscape changed again into a more mountainous one. We had entered Antioquia. The rich part, here the coffee is grown.
We stayed the night at Rancho Occidente. A typical Colombian (South American) bus stop. An open-air canteen style restaurant with economic dishes and a big parking lot.
