We made our first stop at Puerto Escondido. An unreal sight. A private yacht harbor surrounded with a whole street plan for a town, with palms and streetlights, but no houses. In the harbor several yachts, but not to see a person.
The road, number 1, further south carried us through a magnificent mountain landscape with a narrow pass. We crossed the peninsula from east to west.
After that the landscape changed again in an arid dessert.
Near Cuidad Constitucion the landscape changed again. Still arid but with big patches of irrigated farm land.
We stayed the night at the local pool annex campground, which was not more than a dusty parking lot but with electricity connection.
