This morning we went for an early stroll down to the river. There they were again 8 to 9 Manatees. But again no pics, there was no sun and the water to dark. But these will do the trick too.
We left to drive up the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The state road 98 stays for the biggest part away from the coast, so we left the paved road for a dirt road to a boat landing, thinking the would be at the Gulf. We ended up at a landing in the middle of the swaps at a huge sawgrass field with a creek going through it. A magnificent view but no Gulf in sight. Later on the SR 98 turns to the coast and we had our first view of the Gulf.
We ended our trip at Newport, which is not really a town, but more a couple of houses.
